My NOD32 keeps on quarantining it again and again, to delete on next restart. But even after the restart, same thing... NOD32 popping up alert every 2 minutes and giving report of quarantining the file.

Also has made the system very slow.

NOD32 has detected 2 DLL files in the system32 folder.

I tried deleting the files in safe mode, VunduFix but nothing deleted it...

    Any suggestions (except formatting) ...

    Thanks

If you have System Restore enabled...try disabling. Then reboot, rescan.

    Have you tried MalwareBytes?

Also, check out this informative website regarding the dreaded trojan:

    Code:
    http://hubpages.com/hub/Virtumonde-Removal-Tools

  1.
MalwareBytes detected and deleted some and queued some for deletion at next reboot.
I think, it cleaned up. No pop-ups now.

    Thanks buddy!

    Glad you got it sorted!
Now, a few words of caution. Virtumonde is a particularly nasty variety of malware. As you know, it can be difficult to remove. However, the best way to combat it is [/i]not[/i] to get infected. Although, MalwareBytes was able to remove it, you still should be concerned about how it infected your PC in the first place. There must be a configuration setting in your firewall or your anti-virus program that's too lax and allowed it in. My suggestion is try to find that weakness and secure it. Perhaps, the easiest way to do this is just bump up the security setting a notch on your firewall and/or set your anti-virus to take a more proactive level of protection.
