    hey mates......
    i m using desktop with windows xp...... hp compaq dx 2390 microtower......

    XP Perfessional
    Version 2002
    Service pack3


    intel(R) core(TM) 2due
    E7400@ 2.80GHz
    2.79 GHz,1.99 of ram

    yesterday it was working perfectly ...... but at night my friend came to me and i dont know what he did............
    now if i start my system after i think 5 minutes windows appear and if i want to open (my computer) or any file ............ it is also taking long time............overall its speed become very very very slow......... i have avg registered antivirus.......... i scaned whole system but it didnt show any virus or error............
    can u help me what is this? and how i can solve this problem ...........

    1st thing i would do is a system restore back to before this happened

    go back to the day before

    how can i restore my system............ sorry i dont know verywell about computers when ever i have problem like this i just put windows xp cd in cdrom and format it............. but now i think i should learn ............ because i have this web ................. here people are helpful......... thanks alot to being teacher of mine....................

    Go to your start button and select "all programs" or "programs" then go to "accessories" - "system tools" - "system restore"

    now select restore my computer to an earlier time

    its easy thanks..... i will check it...... but sure it will not corupt my windows cos i have some data in c drive so before doing this i could transfer to other drive..

    anything you have done from from the last good day until now should be saved to another drive

    but system restore does not corrupt anything
