    Kaspersky 2010 takes a lot of time , nearly 2-3 mins to load when the system boots............startup is very very slow. It has been the most common problem with KIS 2010

    Earlier version KIS 2009 boots very fast and so does Bitdefender.I am having problem only with KIS 2010

    How can I solve this problem and make Kaspersky to load faster when system boots.

    Look in startup for anything by Kaspersky, remove it and see if it boots faster.

    It's probably configured to perform a system scan upon start-up. correct, except I would look in Kaspersky's configuration control panel and disable that option.

    After all, I assume that you want Kaspersky anti-virus program to start with Windows, just not perform a scan every time. Removing it from the Startup folder or from MSConfig would eliminate start up altogether.

    I have unchecked all other services and startup programes in MSCONFIG.........right now I only have avp in my startup running..............I dont think Kaspersky initiates any scan at the system startup and I dont find any option in kaspersky setting which says scan startup objects or anything like that.......................if thers any hidden scan that gets initiated automatically in background, can u please tell me how to disable that so that kaspersky loads faster when my system boots.

    Uninstall Kaspersky 2010 and see if the problem is resolved. If so find another copy or the 2009 version and compare the outcomes

    Without kaspersky 2010 my system bootup is lightning fast and I had no problem with KIS 2009..................bootup delay is only with KIS 2010

    I'm running on a amd quadcore and with 4gb RAM and stilll bootup delay

    ok i had a simular problem before, do a disk defrag as it can slow the loading down of kis. as said before uninstall kis and restart system and then reinstall kis. if not resoleved you could try out kaspersky support forums as they are very good and can find out if there is a system problem which is slowing kis.

    try this afterwards if still the same and post back link, as it will show if there is any conflicts.

    If KIS 2009 works better for you then stick with that or try other antivirus software.
