Hi guys & girls, heres my problem. My girlfriend of 3 years broke up with me yesterday and i'm heartbroken obviously. But what I want to know is do you think
theres any point in trying to "fight" for it back?
What I mean is its been my opinion from past experience that "fighting" for a relationship or trying to "fix" it is usually pointless as it only forces them further away from you. I think that if its going to work out she will come back of her own accord and not from me trying to tell her how much I love her or send her flowers etc.
Has anyone ever had any success from trying to win someone back? Or is it all just fairy tales and storylines of cheesy love story films.
Don't get me wrong, I know I will eventually get over it and be ok if It is over for good, I'm not that naive.
Thanks in advance guys & girls.
P.S I'm 22 and a guy obviously. And please no stupid responses
Prob should have said her reason was that she didn't want to be in a relationship and wanted to be independant and focus on her job and life. -

It helps not to be too stalker-like, give her a break (I'm not saying you are one). Start talking to her in a normal way and not just about the past 3 years, etc. If there's one thing nobody likes it's suffocation.
I have managed to get someone back and vice-versa but it's never the same as before. -

Best off leaving her to her own devices if she thinks about you or wants to get back with you you will know about it but just be right with her and cheer yourself up by pre-occupying yourself with your friends and what not.
So sad to hear you've been with her for 3 years and now you've seperated; lay low and hope for the best. -

Thanks, yeah thats exactly what I thought I should do. I've been through this before its just really tough knowing how long it takes to feel better.

When she broke up, did she think it through? Or not?
Usually she will come back to have a talk if she didn't think it through.
It's better if she finds you in a state of ...how should I put it. Let's say it might be best to take a step or two back and wait a week or two and see where it goes.
And might be better for you too. -

When there is a problem so strong that it breaks a relationship apart --especially a good relationship -- there usually isn't a way to fix it; and even if some sort of fix or compromise can be found the quality of the relationship will be poor. If it's something in her life, it's something only she can sort out. Her insecurities and stress can't be fixed by some guy who she's no longer in a relationship with. Get over her and move on. -

Nope mate trust me when a girl leave you this means it over, she just wont go back to someone she left
but its not the same situation if you left her or when a guy break up with a girl.
my advice for you if she didnt care for those 3 years you spend together, you should do the same and be careless
at the end you had her and everything.
plus trust me if she loves you that much she will never ever leave you
i am 100% sure that you will find another girl and say why did i waste my time with this girl that didnt deserve me
you start a new life ur still young , show her that she did a great mistake and you are a great man change the way you live , dress up nicely and do not ever show her that u are sad this will ruin it
my advice for you forget and be careless and dont talk to her again plus start searching for a new girl
it might be hard in the first but trust me this is the only way out.
Be sure you are the winner if u did what i said. -

You make it sound like a game mate... You don't have to change cause someone leaves you... You are who you are.
Anyway do normal, don't try immediatly. You'll find someone. If it's her or not
